Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking an experienced Of Counsel attorney to support its litigation team, particularly in matters involving pharmaceutical and medical device product liability. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Daubert and Rule 702 motion practice and bring a strong foundation in complex litigation and legal writing. This position is ideal for a senior attorney ready to play a leadership role in high-profile, technical cases.

Location:

• San Francisco, CA

Duties:

• Draft and review discovery responses, motions, briefs, and memoranda

• Supervise junior associates and coordinate team activities

• Collaborate with clients and expert witnesses

• Conduct legal research and assist in factual development

• Participate in depositions and strategy sessions

• Lead Daubert and Rule 702 motion drafting and arguments

• Help shape and execute case strategy in complex litigation matters

Requirements:

• Minimum of 8 years of litigation experience (preferably from an AmLaw 100 firm)

• Significant experience handling Daubert and Rule 702 issues

• Demonstrated success in products liability and mass tort litigation

• Background in pharmaceutical and/or medical device sectors preferred

• Ability to manage multiple cases and provide strategic guidance

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

• Strong academic record from a nationally recognized institution

Certifications:

• Active bar license in the jurisdiction of practice

• New York bar admission strongly encouraged

Skills:

• Exceptional legal writing and analytical skills

• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities

• Effective oral and written communication

• Sound business and legal judgment

• Ability to manage and mentor legal teams

• Comfort working independently and collaboratively

• Strong conceptual thinking and persuasive argumentation
