Job Overview:
A well-established law firm located in Hackensack, NJ, is seeking an Associate Attorney with 2-7 years of focused experience in trust and estate litigation, probate, and estate administration. This in-office role offers the opportunity to work directly with a senior partner leading the trusts and estates practice. The ideal candidate will bring strong legal acumen, professional judgment, and the ability to manage a variety of responsibilities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Duties:

• Handle trust and estate litigation matters with minimal supervision

• Manage probate proceedings and estate administration from initiation to closure

• Draft and review legal documents, including petitions, motions, and correspondence

• Communicate effectively with clients, courts, and third parties

• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda as needed

• Assist with case strategy and preparation for hearings or mediations

• Work directly with a partner to support the overall practice

Requirements:

• 2 to 7 years of relevant legal experience in trust and estate litigation and administration

• Admitted to practice and in good standing in the State of New Jersey

• Demonstrated ability to handle complex legal matters with attention to detail

• Proven track record of working independently and managing competing priorities

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

• Strong academic credentials preferred

Certifications:

• Admission to the New Jersey State Bar (required)
