ERISA Insurance Litigation Associate

Profile

A law firm seeks an ERISA insurance litigation associate in Huntsville, AL, to join a growing practice group. The ideal candidate will bring over three years of hands-on litigation experience and contribute to cases involving life, health, disability insurance, and ERISA matters, supporting a dynamic team from case inception through resolution.

Duties

• Assist with all phases of ERISA and insurance litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.

• Conduct in-depth legal research and prepare memoranda on complex benefits and insurance issues.

• Participate in depositions, hearings, and trial preparation under senior associate supervision.

• Manage case files, monitor deadlines, and coordinate with clients and co-counsel.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of litigation experience in a law firm environment.

• Familiarity with life, health, and disability insurance disputes and ERISA litigation.

• Proficient in federal and state court procedures and case management.

• Strong writing, oral advocacy, and analytical abilities.

Education

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Admission in good standing to the Alabama Bar (other Southeastern jurisdictions a plus)
