A well-established law firm based in Syracuse, NY ,is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Litigation Attorney with a focus on personal injury matters. This role offers the opportunity to independently handle cases from inception through resolution, including depositions, trials, and settlement negotiations. Duties:

• Manage a docket of motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall incidents, and similar personal injury claims

• Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and discovery documents

• Conduct and defend depositions

• Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials and hearings

• Negotiate settlements and maintain active client communication

• Collaborate with internal staff to prepare cases and meet litigation deadlines

• Evaluate case strengths and develop litigation strategies

• Attend mediations and pre-trial conferences

Requirements:

• Litigation experience preferred

• Willingness to appear in court and handle a full litigation caseload

• Ability to work both independently and within a team structure

• Strong written and oral advocacy skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar (in good standing)

Skills:

• Proficiency in legal research and case management

• Exceptional time management and organizational abilities

• Clear and persuasive communication

• Sound judgment in evaluating legal risks and settlement options

• Competency in using legal practice software and tools
