Job Overview: A law firm seeks a skilled and driven Litigation Attorney with 1-10 years of experience to join its team in Modesto. Duties:

• Represent clients in litigation matters related to Employment Law, Medical Malpractice, and Insurance Defense for Governmental Entities.
• Handle all stages of litigation from case inception to resolution, including research, drafting pleadings, motion practice, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Engage in courtroom proceedings, including hearings and trials, and represent clients in front of judges and juries.
• Provide legal counsel to clients, ensuring a thorough understanding of legal implications and strategic advice.
• Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to develop case strategies and ensure effective case management.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and expert legal counsel.

Requirements:

• 1-10 years of litigation experience, with a focus on employment law, medical malpractice, or insurance defense.
• Experience in government entity defense work is highly preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft and argue motions, pleadings, and other legal documents effectively.
• Ability to work independently, manage a caseload, and meet deadlines while collaborating as part of a team.
• Demonstrated interest and experience in litigation, with a strong commitment to client advocacy.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.

Certifications:

• No additional certifications required, but specialization in related practice areas is a plus.
