The team assists clients in developing and commercializing new technologies, working with a diverse range of national and international corporate clients across various industry sectors.

Duties

• Obtain statutory protections such as trademarks and copyrights.
• Evaluate potential infringement issues through clearance searches and evaluations.
• Prepare technology collaboration agreements.
• Negotiate software and patent license agreements.
• Assist with due diligence on intellectual property assets in corporate transactions.
• Advise clients on pragmatic intellectual property strategies.
• Provide expertise on disputes from pre-litigation to lawsuits and arbitrations.

Requirements

• Strong academic grounding in intellectual property law.
• Keen desire to learn and ability to seek guidance when needed.
• Experience with cross-border matters is preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the state bar of North Carolina or eligibility to waive in.
