A well-established law firm in Boise, ID, is seeking a seasoned Family Law Attorney with at least 5 years of experience to join its dynamic and collaborative legal team. This opportunity is ideal for a self-driven legal professional with a solid foundation in client development and a passion for family law. Duties:

  • Manage family law matters including custody, divorce, support, and asset division

  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, pleadings, motions, and other documents

  • Handle mediation and court appearances with a proven record of success

  • Oversee discovery processes, including electronically stored and physical information

  • Participate in marketing efforts to attract new clients and referrals

  • Maintain accurate client records, billing entries, and case updates in internal systems

  • Collaborate with support staff to ensure case efficiency and client satisfaction

  • Participate in business development activities, including events and community involvement

  • Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing

  • Ensure timely billing and collections, to average 30 billable hours per week

  • Engage clients proactively to drive positive feedback and reviews

  • Adhere to firm procedures and timelines, including invoice approval and productivity benchmarks

  • Take initiative to delegate or redistribute tasks when overbooked to maintain service levels

  • Perform additional legal tasks or firm-related responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing family law

  • Demonstrated success in trial litigation and mediation

  • Ability to independently manage a full caseload

  • Strong business acumen and ability to generate a portion of billable work independently

  • Willingness to engage in firm-supported lead development and marketing efforts

  • Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed for consultations

  • Track record of closing client consults within industry benchmarks

  • Familiarity with digital legal tools and case management software

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed and in good standing with the state bar, or eligible for reciprocal admission in Idaho

Skills:

  • Outstanding legal research and writing capabilities

  • High-level interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong sense of discretion and professionalism

  • Effective time management and organizational skills

  • Comfortable working both independently and within a team environment

  • Proficiency in managing both litigation and client development responsibilities
