Job Overview:
A prominent U.S. law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Banking & Finance practice group. This position involves working with a broad client base of lenders and borrowers on complex financing transactions. These include private credit transactions, syndicated credit facilities, and growth capital financings. The ideal candidate will bring strong legal skills, a collaborative approach, and a client-focused mindset to a high-performing and collegial legal team.

Location:

• Boston, MA

Duties:

• Advise clients on a wide range of debt financing transactions, both domestic and international

• Represent lenders and borrowers in private credit and syndicated loan arrangements

• Draft, negotiate, and manage credit agreements and related documents

• Coordinate with cross-office and cross-practice teams on multi-jurisdictional deals

• Provide strategic, commercially focused legal guidance to clients

• Foster long-term client relationships and contribute to a positive team culture

Requirements:

• 2 to 6 years of relevant experience in a law firm banking and finance practice

• Track record of high performance and professionalism

• Exceptional client service and communication skills

• Admission to the Bar in at least one U.S. state

• Must meet the practice requirements of the relevant jurisdiction

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

• Active membership in good standing with a U.S. State Bar

• California candidates must be admitted or eligible pending completion of the California Bar Exam

Skills:

• Strong drafting and negotiating skills in financing matters

• Deep understanding of debt finance structures and legal principles

• Ability to manage complex deals and meet deadlines under pressure

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
