A reputable law firm is seeking an experienced Business Litigation Associate with 5+ years of experience to join their legal team. The firm specializes in handling complex commercial litigation cases, offering a collaborative and dynamic environment for skilled attorneys. This position involves managing a diverse caseload, from initial filing to final resolution, with opportunities to represent clients in high-stakes litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have substantial courtroom experience and a strong background in legal research, writing, and advocacy.

Location:

• Coral Gables, FL

Duties:

• Manage all aspects of commercial litigation, including depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials.
• Independently handle a litigation caseload from inception to resolution.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and colleagues to develop case strategies and resolve complex legal issues.
• Conduct legal research and prepare well-reasoned written analyses.
• Draft motions, briefs, and pleadings with minimal supervision.
• Represent clients in hearings, pretrial conferences, and other court proceedings.
• Maintain clear, professional communication with clients, providing timely updates on case progress.
• Develop case strategies aimed at achieving favorable outcomes for clients.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial litigation.
• Proven courtroom experience (first or second chair preferred).
• Strong legal writing and oral advocacy skills.
• Proficient with electronic discovery tools and litigation management software.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and clients simultaneously.
• Active Florida Bar license and in good standing to practice law in Florida.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school (preferred).

Certifications:

• Active Florida Bar license.

Skills:

• Expertise in commercial litigation and business disputes.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Strong oral advocacy skills with courtroom experience.
• Ability to independently manage cases and client relationships.
