Job Overview:
A well-established law firm is seeking an Employment Litigation Associate to join its team in Portsmouth, NH. The ideal candidate will have experience in employment law litigation, including defending employers in various employment-related claims. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated attorney to work on diverse and challenging matters while providing expert advice and counsel to employers.

Location:

• Portsmouth, NH

Duties:

• Defend and litigate lawsuits involving a broad range of employment-related claims and agency charges of discrimination.
• Represent employers in court, before administrative agencies, at mediations, and in arbitration for employment matters, including class/collective actions, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, contract disputes, employment torts, and non-compete cases.
• Provide legal advice and counsel to employers on a wide range of labor and employment laws and regulations.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams and clients to develop legal strategies and solutions.

Requirements:

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
• 4+ years of litigation experience, with a strong preference for a background in employment law.
• Active New Hampshire or Maine Bar admission or ability to obtain admission quickly.
• Strong understanding of current court and employment-related agency procedures (state and federal).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team environment.

Education:

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active New Hampshire or Maine Bar admission, or the ability to obtain admission quickly.

Skills:
