A reputable law firm located in Frisco, TX, seeks a seasoned Senior Construction Attorney to join its dynamic construction law practice. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in construction litigation, significant trial preparation experience, and advanced advocacy skills. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex cases within a supportive, collaborative team environment while maintaining a high degree of autonomy.
Duties:
Manage a full caseload involving construction-related disputes and litigation matters
Handle all aspects of trial preparation, including motion practice, discovery, and depositions
Represent clients effectively in court proceedings and settlement negotiations
Draft and review pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda with precision and clarity
Conduct thorough legal research and develop strategic case plans
Collaborate closely with clients, expert witnesses, and internal teams to build strong cases
Negotiate settlements and advocate persuasively on behalf of clients
Maintain detailed documentation and case management records
Participate in client development initiatives and contribute to the firm's ongoing growth
Requirements:
Minimum of 6 years of experience focused on construction litigation
Demonstrated success in trial preparation and courtroom representation
Proven ability to manage case files independently with minimal supervision
Strong proficiency in drafting legal documents and conducting legal research
Exceptional negotiation skills with a client-focused approach
High attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines consistently
Previous experience with insurance defense procedures is advantageous
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Active license to practice law in Texas and good standing
Skills:
Excellent written and oral communication abilities
Advanced legal research and analytical reasoning
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting
Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
