Job Overview:
A law firm based in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Construction Litigation Associate to support its growing practice. This role is ideal for an attorney with a strong foundation in insurance defense and construction-related disputes who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative legal setting. The position offers remote flexibility (within FL or GA) and emphasizes a balanced professional environment with a focus on client advocacy, litigation strategy, and team contribution.

Duties:

• Prepare and draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and legal memoranda

• Represent clients in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials

• Conduct in-depth legal research to support case strategy and court filings

• Provide strategic guidance and analysis to clients on legal matters

• Engage in case evaluation, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation

• Work closely with legal staff and clients for seamless file management and case progression

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation for all assigned matters

• Fulfill additional responsibilities aligned with the litigation process

Requirements:

• Active member of the Florida Bar

• Demonstrated experience in civil litigation, with a preference for construction-related matters

• High level of professionalism and initiative

• Strong legal writing, oral advocacy, and research capabilities

• Ability to independently manage caseload while meeting deadlines and billing expectations

• Comfort working in a remote or hybrid legal team environment

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Florida Bar in good standing

• Admission in Georgia is a plus.
