Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Bankruptcy Litigation Associate in New York to represent debtors, creditors' committees, lenders, asset purchasers, and other key parties in litigation arising from complex chapter 11 and other restructuring situations, including cross-border matters.

Duties

• Present and argue contested matters in court.
• Participate in client communications.
• Draft pleadings, including complaints, answers, and motions.
• Manage the discovery process, including e-discovery and depositions.
• Conduct claims reconciliation and objection processes.
• Participate in settlement negotiations and mediations.
• Engage in trial preparation and courtroom advocacy.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in bankruptcy and restructuring litigation.
• Admitted to the New York Bar.
• Strong understanding of the Bankruptcy Code and relevant Federal Rules.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York Bar.
