Duties

• Represent clients in court proceedings and legal matters

• Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs

• Conduct thorough legal research using platforms like Lexis-Nexis

• Collaborate with clients to provide tailored legal advice

• Negotiate settlements when appropriate

• Maintain accurate case records and documentation

• Stay informed on legal changes relevant to family, immigration, securities, and patent law

• Assist with trial preparation and strategy development

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in legal research (Required)

• At least 3 years of litigation experience (Preferred)

• Proven experience in litigation with a focus on Insurance Defense preferred.

• Strong legal drafting and writing skills

• Effective communication and negotiation abilities

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Admission to the Minnesota State Bar
