Family Law Associate Attorney

A law firm specializing in matters of family law, based in vibrant Las Vegas, NV, is currently seeking a dedicated Family Law Associate Attorney to join their team. This role offers an opportunity to engage in a wide spectrum of cases including divorce, child custody, child support, annulment, and domestic relations appeals. The firm values both experience and potential, providing comprehensive training for the right candidate.

Duties:

• Represent clients in various family law proceedings such as divorce, custody hearings, and support disputes.
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to strategize case preparation and litigation tactics.
• Attend court hearings and depositions, advocating effectively on behalf of clients.
• Maintain communication with clients, providing updates and guidance throughout the legal process.
• Negotiate settlements when beneficial and advocate for clients' interests in mediation settings.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Nevada State Bar in good standing.
• 1-6 years of relevant experience in family law preferred; however, candidates with a strong interest and foundational knowledge will be considered.
• Demonstrated commitment to excellence in legal research, writing, and advocacy.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to empathize with clients' situations and communicate effectively.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with local court procedures and practices in family law matters.
• Ability to manage a high caseload efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
• Proficiency in legal software and research tools.
• Bilingual proficiency is a plus, particularly in languages commonly spoken in the Las Vegas area.
