Job Overview:
A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a full-time Employment Litigation Associate to join its Richmond, VA office. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of litigation experience and a strong interest in employment law. This role offers the opportunity to litigate complex workplace matters and advise clients on compliance with federal and state labor and employment regulations. Candidates must demonstrate strong legal writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Duties:
Defend employers in employment-related lawsuits and agency charges of discrimination
Represent clients in court, arbitrations, mediations, and before administrative agencies
Handle employment litigation involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, employment torts, and non-compete issues
Participate in class/collective actions as needed
Provide strategic advice and day-to-day counsel to employers on labor and employment law matters
Manage discovery, draft motions, and participate in all aspects of litigation
Collaborate with team members and clients to resolve legal disputes efficiently
Requirements:
Minimum of 4 years of litigation experience (employment law experience preferred)
Familiarity with state and federal court procedures, as well as employment-related administrative agencies
Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated professionalism and strong work ethic
Willingness to handle both litigation and advisory work
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school
Certifications:
Admitted to practice in Virginia (or eligible for admission in a short time frame)
Skills:
