Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm seeks a full-time associate attorney in Kenton, OH to support a diverse private practice. The successful candidate will work collaboratively on a range of civil and criminal matters, developing client relationships and managing cases from inception through resolution.

Duties

• Handle a varied caseload including domestic relations, small claims, landlord/tenant, and collections matters.

• Conduct litigation tasks such as drafting pleadings, taking and defending depositions, and attending hearings.

• Advise clients on business, real estate, and probate issues, including transactional document preparation.

• Represent individuals in criminal and personal injury proceedings, as assigned.

Requirements

• 0–5 years of legal practice experience in a generalist setting.

• Entrepreneurial mindset with a goal of building a personal book of business.

• Willingness to relocate to and reside in Kenton or a contiguous county.

• Proficiency with case management software and Microsoft Office.

Education

• Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active member in good standing of the Ohio Bar.

Skills

• Excellent research, writing, and analytical abilities.

• Strong interpersonal and public-speaking skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities independently.
