Help Desk Specialist
The candidate should have customer service experience in IT support. Additionally, the candidates should possess strong problem-solving, analytical, prioritization, and communication skills. This includes receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving end user help requests. The ideal candidate would be self-motivated, outgoing, with a willingness to learn. Serve as an onsite IT resource for Howard & Howard’s Royal Oak office, but also as part of an IT team supporting other remote offices. Provide timely, first-level contact for IT-related customer issues and diagnose, resolve, or escalate associated IT helpdesk issues. Configure, deploy, maintain, troubleshoot, and support PCs, printers, mobile devices, desktop phones, video conferencing, and other related equipment. Evaluate and manage technical support systems hardware and software, recommending purchases and improvements when necessary. Provide remote and in-person technical support to resolve helpdesk requests. Work with vendors to verify timely product or service delivery or repair, and ensure new equipment is installed and ready for scheduled operations. Prior work experience in a helpdesk environment supporting end-users. Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills. Exceptional written and oral communication skills. Strong documentation skills.
