A law firm seeks a highly qualified Associate for their Tax Controversy practice in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in complex tax disputes, including corporate, partnership, transfer pricing, international tax, SALT, and criminal tax matters.

Duties

• Advise clients on complex tax issues at every stage of a US federal, state, local, or cross-border tax controversy.
• Identify and manage actual or potential tax controversies in the context of transactions.
• Collaborate with government agencies to minimize the scope of disputes.
• Work with the Supreme Court & Appellate Practice team for litigation matters.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in complex tax disputes.
• Experience with corporate, partnership, transfer pricing, international tax, SALT, and criminal tax matters.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.
