Job Title: Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:
A Honolulu-based law firm is actively seeking a Litigation Associate with a focus on residential property-related legal disputes, foreclosure proceedings, and related financial services litigation. This position involves hands-on management of legal matters, particularly judicial foreclosure actions, from inception through resolution. The role offers opportunities for courtroom engagement, strategic advisory, and high-volume caseload handling in a dynamic legal environment.

Duties:

• Handle assigned litigation matters independently from initiation to closure

• Advise financial service clients on legal strategies and case developments

• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents

• Represent clients at hearings—telephonic and in-person

• Support broader litigation functions and contribute to firm-wide legal projects

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in the State of Hawaii

• 1 year of experience in litigation or real estate/mortgage law (preferred, not mandatory)

• Strong legal research and writing capabilities

• Ability to interpret and work within client-specific systems

• Capacity to handle a high-volume caseload while maintaining attention to detail

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Hawaii State Bar

Skills:

• Clear, effective written and oral communication

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and web-based tools

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities

• Self-starter with strong initiative and time management skills
