Duties

  • Team Leadership:
    • Manage and oversee a team (or "pod") consisting of a Case Manager, Legal Assistant, and Client Satisfaction Specialist.
    • Host weekly team meetings to review case progress and resolve challenges.
  • Case Management:
    • Perform comprehensive file reviews every 45 days to ensure compliance, accuracy, and progress.
    • Use the Pareto Point Case Grading System to evaluate case value and potential.
    • Establish case strategies and participate in valuation committee meetings for high-value cases.
  • Client Communication:
    • Maintain regular client updates (at least every 45 days) to ensure transparency and address concerns.
  • Demand Preparation:
    • Edit and approve demand letters prepared by the Case Manager for accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Negotiations:
    • Conduct settlement negotiations with insurance companies and opposing parties.
    • Adjust strategies based on case developments and negotiation outcomes.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure all cases adhere to legal standards and ethical practices.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in Florida.
  • 3-5 years of experience in personal injury law, with an emphasis on pre-litigation.
  • Strong understanding of pre-litigation processes, including case evaluation, demand preparation, and settlement negotiations.

Certifications

  • Florida Bar licensure in good standing.
