Duties

• Represent clients in criminal court proceedings throughout multiple counties

• Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and memoranda

• Build strategic defenses and present arguments effectively in court

• Maintain active communication with clients, families, and the court

• Negotiate plea deals and handle pre-trial, trial, and post-conviction matters

• Collaborate with internal legal staff and investigators to develop strong case strategies

• Manage caseload independently while adhering to court deadlines

• Participate in firm-building initiatives and contribute to the growth of the practice

Requirements

• Must be admitted to practice law in New York State

• Ability to travel regularly within assigned counties

• Previous courtroom experience preferred

• Strong passion for criminal defense and advocacy

• Excellent communication and client relationship skills

• Highly motivated and capable of independent case management

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active New York State Bar admission (required)
