Job Title: Mid-Level Structured Finance Associate Attorney Or Counsel 

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm in New York City is seeking a talented and motivated mid-level associate or counsel to join its structured finance team. The ideal candidate will have experience in asset-backed securitization, structured lending transactions, or capital markets, with a particular focus on esoteric and innovative transactions. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-profile deals, including those related to whole business securitizations, digital infrastructure, media royalty securitizations, and structured private credit facilities.

Duties:

• Representing financial institutions, including issuers, underwriters, borrowers, lenders, sellers, and/or purchasers in structured finance transactions.

• Handling a variety of asset-backed securitization and structured lending transactions.

• Engaging in both capital markets issued and privately placed securitizations.

• Working with business-focused structures to match capital in connection with complex and first-of-their-kind transactions.

• Managing a diverse range of financial products, including whole business and media royalty securitizations, as well as structured private credit facilities.

Requirements:

• 5-7 years of experience in structured finance, asset-backed securitization, and/or capital markets.

• Prior experience working with financial institutions, including issuers, underwriters, borrowers, lenders, and purchasers.

• Strong interest in or experience with esoteric and innovative securitization deals.

• Previous experience at a large law firm.

• Superior academic credentials and a commitment to providing high-quality legal services.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admitted to practice law in the state of New York.

Skills:

• Expertise in asset-backed securitization and structured finance transactions.

• Strong written and oral communication skills.

• Ability to handle complex legal and business issues related to structured finance.

• Strong negotiation and drafting skills.

• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
