This role is focused on the defense of general liability matters and offers the opportunity to handle a substantial litigation caseload with support from a collaborative legal team. Ideal candidates will be licensed in both Missouri and Illinois and bring 2–5 years of relevant legal experience. Duties

• Manage a diverse caseload of general liability defense litigation

• Draft, prepare, and handle legal pleadings, motions, and memoranda

• Conduct legal research and draft responses to dispositive motions

• Prepare and take depositions of parties and expert witnesses

• Respond to written discovery and manage all aspects of document production

• Review client records and prepare case evaluations and status reports

• Participate in mediations and make court appearances as needed

• Collaborate with partners, support staff, and legal teams to move cases forward

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in general liability or insurance defense litigation

• Licensed and in good standing with Missouri and Illinois Bars

• Experience with both state and federal court litigation procedures

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced litigation environment

• Proven track record of managing multiple case files simultaneously

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active licenses to practice law in Missouri and Illinois (Required)

• Admission to other state Bars is a plus
