Job Overview:
A well-established law firm located in Salt Lake City, UT, is seeking a skilled and motivated attorney to join their team. The firm is looking for a professional with a passion for legal practice and a drive for excellence. The position offers opportunities for both mentorship and independence, depending on the candidate’s preference. This role will involve managing cases, preparing legal documents, and representing clients in court and at mediation.

Duties:

• Oversee legal cases, collaborating with the lead attorney as needed.
• Draft and prepare legal documents on behalf of clients.
• Review and analyze discovery; and issue discovery requests.
• Assist with hearing and trial preparation.
• Represent clients in court hearings and mediations.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legal standards and regulations.
• Contribute to additional cases and tasks as needed.
• Maintain an average of 140 billable hours per month.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in law or recent Bar exam completion.
• Familiarity with a range of legal pleadings and documents.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Exceptional organizational skills and understanding of deadlines.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active State Bar membership (or pending if recently graduated).

Skills:

• Proficiency in legal research and writing.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
