Job Overview:
A prominent law firm based in Morristown, NJ, is seeking a motivated Litigation Associate with 2-4 years of experience. The role offers an opportunity to work on diverse litigation matters with a focus on insurance-related disputes. Candidates must be admitted to practice in New Jersey; admission in New York is highly preferred. Duties:

• Handle a variety of litigation cases, including insurance defense and related disputes

• Draft pleadings, discovery documents, motions, and legal memoranda

• Conduct legal research and provide strategic analysis

• Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations

• Collaborate closely with senior attorneys on case strategies and trial preparation

• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel

• Manage case files and maintain organized documentation

Requirements:

• 2 to 4 years of relevant litigation experience

• A background in insurance litigation is an advantage

• Admission to the New Jersey Bar is mandatory

• Admission to the New York Bar is highly preferred

• Strong written and oral advocacy skills

• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in New Jersey

• New York licensure is preferred but not required

Skills:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
