Duties:
Manage a caseload of family law matters from inception through resolution
Draft motions, affidavits, legal briefs, and trial materials
Represent clients during court hearings, mediations, and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) sessions
Provide strategic legal counsel tailored to clients' goals
Maintain proactive and professional communication with clients and opposing counsel
Collaborate with experienced paralegals and legal support staff
Conduct legal research and remain informed on updates in Minnesota family law
Uphold ethical and professional standards in all casework
Ensure smooth progression of case files with strong organizational practices
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of family law experience, with working knowledge of Minnesota legal procedures
Licensed and in good standing with the Minnesota State Bar
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases with structure and efficiency
Commitment to delivering an exceptional client experience
Willingness to work in a collaborative, team-based environment
Open to feedback and professional development
Strong attention to detail and reliability in task completion
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Active license to practice law in the state of Minnesota
Skills:
Strong legal writing and oral advocacy skills
Proficiency in legal research and use of legal databases (e.g., Westlaw)
Experience with case management software (e.g., Clio)
Effective communication with clients, courts, and colleagues
High level of emotional intelligence and empathy in client interactions
Organizational skills and the ability to follow through on complex casework
