A law firm seeks a Junior Litigation Associate in Portland, OR. The associate will engage with clients in the agriculture, renewable energy, timber, and mining sectors, providing regional litigation services and handling diverse cases.

Duties

• Prepare pleadings and draft briefs and motions.
• Support and execute discovery processes.
• Take and defend fact depositions; prepare witnesses.
• Assist in trial preparation and collaborate with trial teams.
• Communicate with clients and opposing counsel.

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school; Oregon bar admission or eligibility.
• Two to four years of litigation experience at a comparable firm.
• Proficiency in motions practice, depositions, and complex discovery.
• Familiarity with Federal and state procedural rules; clerkship or trial experience preferred.
• Strong writing, oral advocacy, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with e-discovery platforms and litigation technology.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution.

Certifications

• Admitted to the Oregon State Bar or eligible for admission.
