Coop and Condo Support Specialist
The candidate will prepare submissions to offering plans, amendments, and other regulatory filings to the New York Attorney General’s office. Assist senior paralegals with all aspects of contracts and closings. This includes the collection of documents, scheduling of closings, mailing of form letters, and the organization of documents and closing binders. Coordinate client requests for monthly financial statements and tax forms associated with contract and closing process. Monitor various disbursements related to contracts and closings on a weekly basis. Coordinate all aspects of client billing for coops and condos practice with paralegals, the billing coordinator and primary billing attorney. Serve as point of contact for the Accounting Department for the handling of escrowed funds in tandem with paralegals for contracts and closings. Manage closing calendar for closings and projects, including key regulatory deadlines. Research, coordinate, promote and staff business development meetings/events related to the Cooperative and Condominium practice. Coordinate and assist with Marketing Department to produce RFPs and presentations, and develop and write promotional materials such as newsletters and/or alerts to promote services. Produce engagement letters. Process conflicts and new business forms. Greet clients/visitors to the Firm as it relates to the Cooperative and Condominium practice, including in-person real estate closings (as required). Work with Attorneys and Paralegals to ensure prompt service to clients. Perform other duties as assigned. Bachelor’s degree is required. Experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
