A law firm in San Francisco, CA, is seeking a Professional Liability Coverage Attorney to investigate, research, and analyze complex professional liability claims, specifically against construction and design firms. The ideal candidate will provide expert legal advice on risk exposure, policy interpretation, litigation strategy, and claims handling protocols, ensuring high-quality work products within defined service level agreements.

Duties:

• Investigate, research, and prepare reports on complex professional liability claims.
• Analyze insurance contracts and policy forms, applying terms to various claim scenarios.
• Stay current on legislative trends and court decisions, providing timely updates and recommendations.
• Produce comprehensive written opinions with strategic recommendations.
• Work with claims management to advise on risk exposure and claims handling.
• Deliver high-quality work products within defined service level agreements.
• Perform other assigned duties.

Requirements:

• JD from an accredited law school.
• CA state licensed attorney in good standing.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Experience interpreting insurance policies, drafting coverage opinions, and litigating coverage matters is preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Billable hour requirement: 1850 hours per year.
