Duties

• Advise on regulatory and compliance issues related to federal securities laws, including the Investment Company Act of 1940 and the Securities Act of 1933

• Lead or significantly contribute to investment company transactions, including reorganizations and mergers

• Provide counsel to mutual funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), closed-end funds, and independent trustees/directors

• Manage multiple matters simultaneously in a fast-paced, client-focused environment

• Participate in business development and client interaction initiatives

• Collaborate with firm leadership and legal teams across offices

Requirements

• 4–7 years of experience in registered investment companies and investment adviser regulation

• Strong background in securities law and investment fund compliance

• Demonstrated ability to manage complex transactions and legal matters

• Proven capability to provide strategic legal guidance to high-profile clients

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

• Strong academic credentials required

Certifications

• Admission (or pending admission) to the bar in at least one relevant jurisdiction

• Good standing with applicable state bar(s)
