Capital Markets / Structured Finance Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm seeks a seasoned Capital Markets / Structured Finance Associate to join its New York office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various aspects of structured finance and capital markets, along with a commitment to providing exceptional legal services in a collaborative environment.

Duties

• Manage complex transactions related to Repo, Asset Backed Lending, Loan on Loan, securitization, and structured finance.
• Provide legal counsel on structured products and corporate transactions, with an emphasis on regulatory compliance and risk management.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop innovative solutions tailored to specific financing needs.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support transaction structuring and documentation.
• Draft and negotiate key legal documents, including transaction agreements and disclosures.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes that may impact capital markets and structured finance.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of substantial experience in capital markets and structured finance law.
• Proven expertise in Repo, Asset Backed Lending, Loan on Loan, securitization, and structured products.
• Experience with corporate real estate transactions (CRE CLO) is a plus but not mandatory.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex transactions effectively.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in the New York State Bar.
