Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced attorney to join its insurance defense practice as a Partner in Vancouver, WA. This role offers a senior position without the need for an existing book of business. The successful candidate will have experience in insurance defense litigation and will lead case management, client relations, and mentoring of associates and staff. The practice operates throughout Oregon and Washington.

Duties

• Defend clients in litigation matters, including general liability, personal injury, and commercial disputes.
• Manage all aspects of litigated cases, including pleadings, discovery, and trials.
• Draft briefs, memos, and pleadings.
• Represent clients in court, depositions, and mediations.
• Collaborate with clients to provide timely coverage advice.
• Maintain independence and ownership in case assignments.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Oregon and/or Washington.
• 7+ years of experience in insurance defense litigation.
• Trial experience preferred but not required.
• Strong client-relations and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.

Education

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in Oregon and/or Washington.
