Job Overview: A respected law firm in Plymouth, MI, specializing in estate planning, probate, and elder law, is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to handle probate administration and litigation. This role will also involve supervising support staff and may include opportunities to contribute to estate planning and elder law matters.

Duties:

• Manage probate cases, including estate administration, contested wills, and trust disputes.
• Represent clients in probate litigation, attending hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Draft and review legal documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
• Advise clients on estate planning strategies and elder law issues, including Medicaid planning.
• Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting probate, estate planning, and elder law.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to support staff as needed.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active Bar license in Michigan.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in probate, estate planning, and elder law preferred.
• Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases effectively and stay organized.
• Client-focused approach with a commitment to delivering personalized legal solutions.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership with the Michigan State Bar.

Skills:
