A law firm in Charleston, WV, is seeking an experienced IP Litigation Attorney with a background in Mechanical Engineering to join their team. The successful candidate will represent clients in intellectual property disputes, with a focus on cases involving patents, trademarks, and copyrights.

Duties:

• Manage all aspects of intellectual property litigation cases, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
• Conduct legal research and analysis related to intellectual property law and relevant case precedents.
• Develop case strategies and provide legal advice to clients regarding potential outcomes and settlement options.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, depositions, and trials.
• Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient case management and client satisfaction.
• Stay updated on developments in intellectual property law and regulations to provide informed counsel to clients.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE degree) is required.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the state bar in West Virginia or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
• 12-16 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on intellectual property litigation.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and technologies.
• Experience managing complex litigation cases from inception to resolution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE degree) is required.

Certifications:
