Entry-level to Mid-level Tax Associate Attorney

Profile

The law firm is seeking a highly motivated Entry-level to Mid-level Tax Associate Attorney to join its dynamic tax department in Ann Arbor. The successful candidate will be involved in predominantly transactional work, collaborating closely with securities and finance lawyers, as well as engaging with investment bankers, financial advisors, and government officials nationwide.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis related to tax matters.
• Prepare and review tax-related documents, including agreements and opinions.
• Provide legal advice on tax implications for various transactions.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure comprehensive legal solutions.
• Assist in the development and implementation of tax strategies.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.

Requirements:

• Admitted to practice in the State Bar.
• 0-5 years of legal experience.
• Experience in public finance or other transactional tax areas is beneficial.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• LL.M. in Taxation.
