Duties

• Lead and manage sophisticated patent litigation cases from pre-filing through trial and appeal

• Draft and respond to complaints, answers, counterclaims, and motions in federal court

• Prepare claim construction briefs and present arguments in Markman hearings

• Develop invalidity and infringement contentions, including claim charts

• Oversee and conduct patient-specific discovery including expert and fact-witness depositions

• Handle inter partes review (IPR) and other post-grant proceedings

• Prepare and present trial materials, including motions in limine, exhibit lists, jury instructions, and witness prep

• Draft appellate briefs and manage matters before the Federal Circuit

• Mentor and supervise junior team members and associates

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and maintain effective communication with clients and co-counsel

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in patent litigation

• Demonstrated leadership in managing complex IP matters through trial and appeal

• In-depth experience with U.S. district court patent litigation procedures

• Strong knowledge of PTAB practice and IPR proceedings

• Proven ability to handle high-stakes legal work independently

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active membership in good standing with a state bar

• USPTO registration is highly preferred

• Capable of working in fast-paced, high-pressure legal environments
