Coordinator, Research and Competitive Intelligence
The candidate will be developing reports, presentations, or briefings to prepare our business development team and/or partners for client pitches, proposals, and other similar presentations. Conducting and analyzing research on competitor law firms by monitoring industry trends and demographics. Entering incoming requests in Research Log, updating CRM (InterAction) with research activities and uploading documents to Worksite. Extracting data by industry sectors, geography, attorneys, office, and practice groups for use in RFPs by Business Development staff, Practice Group Leaders and Division Managers. Utilizing Excel to identify insights and visualize trends. Enhancing and supplementing client data using outside sources. Participating in vendor demonstrations to evaluate new products and research tools. Should have a Bachelor’s degree or 2 years of equivalent work experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications, (Excel advanced proficiency, Word moderate proficiency, PowerPoint moderate proficiency); working knowledge of a CRM (InterAction) a plus. A basic understanding of CI databases, technologies, and resources (including Monitor Suite, Cap IQ, Bloomberg Law, and Manzama) is a plus. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; strong analytical and trend-spotting abilities. Ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization; excellent oral and written communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.
