A growing insurance defense law firm is seeking a full-time Trial Attorney to join its team. The firm specializes in defending general liability claims, including premises liability, automobile negligence, and construction defect claims. This role can be performed remotely or at the firm’s office in downtown St. Petersburg, FL, with varying experience requirements for remote work.

Duties

• Defend clients in general liability cases, focusing on premises liability, automobile negligence, and construction defect claims
• Manage all aspects of litigation, including case strategy, pleadings, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation
• Represent clients in court, including hearings and trials
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients
• Work closely with senior attorneys to prepare for trials and settlement negotiations
• Keep detailed records and reports on case progress and developments
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations

Requirements

• Practical experience in defending general liability claims
• Passion for and experience in litigation
• Ability to manage a caseload and work independently
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment
• Experience working remotely is a plus, but more experience is required for remote work

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Must be licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
