A law firm seeks a highly motivated and detail-oriented Attorney with 3+ years of experience specializing in Medical Malpractice/Senior Care to join their dynamic litigation team in Islandia, NY. The successful candidate will manage complex medical malpractice cases from inception to trial, provide expert legal counsel to clients, and advocate effectively in court.

Duties

• Manage a caseload of medical malpractice litigation from inception through resolution.
• Conduct thorough legal research.
• Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, and other discovery items.
• Conduct and defend depositions of all parties and non-parties.
• Produce clients for deposition.
• Review medical records.
• Meet with experts.
• Maintain meticulous case management records and monitor deadlines.

Requirements

• Admitted to practice in NYS and in good standing.
• At least 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated excellence in research, writing, and legal analysis.
• Excellent communication skills and responsiveness.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Bar admission in New York State.
