Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide expert legal advice and representation in tax-related matters.
• Handle tax compliance, planning, and controversy work for a diverse client base.
• Develop and maintain a portable book of business with growth potential.
• Manage case files, supervise client contact, and lead cases from inception to resolution.
• Juggle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously while ensuring high-quality work.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Stay updated with tax law and regulation changes to provide accurate guidance.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in a law or public accounting firm with significant tax compliance experience.
• Proven ability to develop business and maintain a portable book of business.
• Experience managing case files, client contact, and leading cases.
• Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong customer/client service skills.
• LL.M. in Taxation is strongly preferred.
• Admission to the Michigan Bar is required.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• LL.M. in Taxation is strongly preferred.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Michigan Bar is required.
