A law firm seeks a skilled and highly qualified corporate associate to join its Healthcare and Life Sciences Licensing practice in New York. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of relevant experience in life sciences licensing and a strong educational background in Biology or Chemistry. This role is perfect for an individual with excellent drafting and negotiation skills.

Duties

  • Provide legal support in the negotiation and drafting of licensing agreements in the life sciences sector.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop strategies for intellectual property management and compliance.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support licensing initiatives and transactions.
  • Assist in the evaluation of biopharmaceutical agreements and related documentation.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory developments affecting life sciences licensing.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to facilitate successful licensing deals.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of experience in life sciences licensing or a related field.
  • Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline, or equivalent experience in the biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to manage complex agreements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment while managing multiple priorities.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Educational background in Biology, Chemistry, or related scientific fields is preferred.

Certifications

  • Must be licensed to practice law in NY.
