Job Overview:
A prominent law firm based in Boston, MA, is actively seeking a mid-level associate to join its structured finance group with a specialization in derivatives. Duties:

• Provide transactional support and counsel related to structured finance and derivative products

• Draft and negotiate a wide array of documentation under the ISDA Master Agreement, including:

  • Schedules

  • Credit Support Annexes

  • Confirmations

  • Protocols and related regulatory instruments

• Advise on over-the-counter derivatives and compliance with ISDA Dodd-Frank protocols and similar regulatory requirements

• Collaborate with attorneys and clients on complex financial structuring, deal execution, and ongoing transactional support

• Contribute to internal knowledge development and client education around emerging regulatory changes impacting derivatives and structured finance

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of focused legal experience in structured finance and derivatives

• Direct exposure to ISDA documentation and over-the-counter derivatives transactions

• Prior work with regulatory frameworks, including Dodd-Frank Act protocols

• Experience at a nationally or internationally recognized law firm is highly desirable

• Active license to practice law in Massachusetts

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Massachusetts State Bar (required)

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
