A law firm seeks a highly experienced Criminal Defense Trial Attorney in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The ideal candidate will independently manage complex criminal cases from intake through resolution, serving as lead counsel on serious criminal matters. This role requires strategic thinking, strong courtroom presence, and disciplined case management.

Duties

• Serve as lead counsel on felony and high-stakes criminal cases.
• Manage cases from intake through resolution with strong follow-through.
• Represent clients in hearings, negotiations, and jury trials.
• Develop tailored, results-oriented defense strategies.
• Draft, review, and file motions, briefs, and legal documents.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients.
• Collaborate effectively with attorneys and staff.

Requirements

• Several years of criminal defense experience with progressive responsibility.
• Extensive jury trial experience (50+ trials preferred).
• Federal criminal case experience.
• Active Florida Bar license in good standing.
• Ability to meet or exceed monthly billable hour requirements.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Florida Bar license.
