Location:

Duties:

• Assess new case files to develop action plans, budgets, and legal recommendations

• Identify pleading requirements and delegate tasks to paralegals as needed

• Prepare discovery responses and manage document production

• Attend depositions, hearings, and other discovery events, providing thorough reports

• Negotiate settlements, secure client authority, and prepare for trial when necessary

• Maintain regular communication with paralegals and legal assistants

Requirements:

• 1–5 years of experience practicing workers' compensation law

• Active license to practice law in North Carolina

• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a strong work ethic

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with willingness to learn additional database management systems

• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership (required)
