Duties

• Participate in state and federal litigation, including discovery, depositions, motions, mediations, and trials.
• Handle administrative proceedings before agencies such as the EEOC, ICRC, NLRB, DOL, and IWD.
• Engage in investigations, employment counseling, and transactional due diligence.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda, motions, and client documents.
• Work directly with clients and contribute to compliance, strategy, and litigation avoidance discussions.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in labor and employment law.
• Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience with employment litigation and counseling.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Bar admission in Iowa required or eligibility to waive in.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Bar admission in Iowa.
