Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Workers' Compensation Associate in Alpharetta, GA. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team, contributing to a collaborative and fast-paced environment. This role involves representing clients in various legal proceedings and managing a caseload with supervision.

Duties

• Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and agreements.
• Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and mediations.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases.
• Maintain billable hours as necessary.
• Manage client relationships and a caseload with supervision.
• Assist in the representation of clients in motion practice, conferences, mediations, and trial when necessary.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• 1+ years of experience in a law office or similar legal environment; clerkships in Superior Court considered.
• At least 1 year of experience in insurance matters required; 2 years preferred.
• Experience in discovery, especially depositions, motion practice, and some second chair litigation experience at the trial level.
• Admission to the state bar association where practicing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, ProLaw, Excel, and e-document management software preferred.
• Self-motivated independent thinker with excellent time management, strong organizational skills, and outstanding communication skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the state bar association where practicing.

Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, ProLaw, Excel, and e-document management software preferred.
