Duties

• Review and resolve routine bankruptcy matters.

• Attend hearings (virtual or in person depending on location).

• Respond to general bankruptcy inquiries from clients.

• Monitor electronic filings (ECFs) in bankruptcy cases.

• Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, and the Court.

Requirements

• Must be licensed to practice law in Illinois.

• Must be admitted to the Bankruptcy Courts in Illinois (preferred, not required).

• Ability to handle routine bankruptcy matters and client communications.

• Strong time management and organizational skills.

• Must be detail-oriented and maintain a high level of professionalism.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Barred in Illinois.

• Admitted to the Bankruptcy Courts in Illinois (preferred, not required).

Skills

• Knowledge of bankruptcy rules and creditor rights laws (preferred but not required).

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency with technology and electronic filings.
