This position is ideal for a motivated legal professional with 3+ years of experience handling litigation matters at the state and federal levels. The attorney will be expected to manage discovery, motion practice, mediations, and trial preparation while contributing to a team-oriented, hybrid work environment.

Duties

• Conduct legal research on complex litigation and real estate matters

• Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, and other legal documents

• Represent clients in court proceedings and administrative hearings

• Collaborate with shareholders, fellow attorneys, and support staff

• Delegate and supervise work assigned to paralegals and legal assistants

• Deliver client-focused legal advice and solutions

• Participate in firm-sponsored training and mentorship programs

• Assist in the professional development of junior staff and legal interns

• Accurately document billable time for client matters

• Maintain high standards of professionalism and respectful workplace conduct

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, preferably in real estate or related practice areas

• Experience with all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trials

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects independently

• Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Admission to the Maine Bar in good standing

• Willingness to obtain admission in other jurisdictions if required by the firm
