Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly motivated mid-level associate to join its Managed Care Litigation Practice Group in New York. The ideal candidate will be located in the tri-state area (NY, NJ, and CT), with flexibility for hybrid or remote work arrangements.

Duties

• Engage in general litigation and arbitration, including brief writing and legal research.
• Participate in oral arguments and manage provider contract and billing disputes.
• Handle cases involving medical necessity, level of care, and coordination of benefits.
• Work on out-of-network payor-provider litigation.

Requirements

• Three to seven years of litigation and/or arbitration experience.
• Background in managed care litigation preferred.
• Licensed to practice in New York; additional licenses in NJ, CT, and/or PA are a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Motivated, personable, and able to collaborate effectively.

Education

• Strong academic credentials required.
• Preferred experience includes law clerk internships, moot court, or law review/journal.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in New York.

Skills

• Excellent writing and analytical skills.
• Ability to assume immediate responsibility for matters.
